Selecting the correct handling method for loading and discharge is critical in the transport of dry bulk products. This is to ensure optimum payload is achieved and the product does not degrade during loading, transit or discharge.

We are impartial in our selection process and can advise which methods and techniques are available to suit your product and your needs.

We have experience with the following handling equipment:

• Loading
  Overhead silo; belt & paddle thrower; belt, screw, paddle & disc conveyor.
• Discharge
  Decant platform; tipping; rotary valve; disc, paddle & belt conveyor.

Cleaning is a critical part of the handling process, whether this is to clean the loading or discharge equipment between products or equipment used in carriage. We have agreed a standard cleaning procedure for our tank containers with a leading tank cleaning company who have a network of cleaning stations in the UK. We have a number of individual warehouses, strategically placed in the UK and mainland Europe for palletised goods and dry bulk storage.

Static storage silos or container equipment are also used to store bulk products.

We supply a wide range of dry bulk packaging options which include 25kg paper sacks, 1+ tonne big bags, container liners, container bulk heads and securing devices.

We can provide a transportable, self-contained packaging plant, built in a 20’ container, fitted with its own weighing facility, bag sealer (hot seal or stitch) and adapted to load from 5kg to 25 kg bags or big bags.

 

For some of our customers we provide a complete freight transport package i.e transport of palletised goods, order picking, status reports, re-packing, freight forwarding, transport equipment leasing, UK domestic transport and express freight.

Transport to and from Europe and Scandinavia is effected by using a combination of intermodal and silo “self drive” trucks depending, on geographical locating, demand and transit times.

Transport between the USA and Europe is effected by standard containers, demountable silo tanks and lash barges.

We distribute products world-wide, providing a door-to-door service.

We provide language interpretation for Greek, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
